Using Mendeley as your Reference Manager

  • This reference manager can be used to organise your reference, collaborate with others and discover new research. Students can use Mendeley to arrange their citations and references..

  • You can create an account for free if you do not have one and you will be prompted afterwards to install the Mendeley software

  • Add papers from your hard drive or import papers from other software (like Refworks, Zotero etc.) and you can use Mendeley's suggested papers

  • For a quick add, drag files from your drive to Mendeley window's open space and save. You can also add by using the file menu to add files, folder, or watch folder and import documents manually

  • You can use Mendeley Literature Search to import new articles (add and save) or use the web importer. You can open multiple documents at once and access your documents wherever you go by using the sync button (from Mendeley menu bar) to upload your document to the Mendeley server, where they are stored
